Background, formulation principles and brand information.
Weleda is an international manufacturer of natural and organic skincare, body care, personal-care products and anthroposophic medicines.
The company was founded in 1921 and has developed its products around plant-based ingredients, responsible sourcing, sustainability and a holistic understanding of human health and wellbeing.
Weleda skincare formulations use selected plant oils, waxes, botanical extracts and other naturally derived ingredients. Each product is formulated for a defined cosmetic purpose, such as cleansing, moisturising, protecting or supporting the skin barrier.
Ingredients and directions should always be checked on the individual product packaging, particularly where a customer has known allergies or sensitivities.
Many Weleda cosmetic products use certified natural or organic ingredients and may carry recognised natural cosmetic certification. Certification and ingredient composition can vary between products.
Customers should refer to the certification marks, ingredients list and product description displayed for the specific item they intend to purchase.
Weleda states that it does not test its cosmetic products on animals. Customers seeking information about a specific certification, market or ingredient should review the current information provided on the relevant product page.
Brooled is an authorised Weleda Wellbeing Advisor. This means customers can request informed product guidance concerning Weleda ranges, product characteristics and appropriate product selection.

How anthroposophic principles relate to Weleda.
Anthroposophy is a philosophical and holistic approach associated with the work of Rudolf Steiner. It considers physical health alongside psychological, environmental and broader aspects of human development.
Anthroposophic ideas have influenced fields including education, agriculture, art, social practice and complementary approaches to healthcare.
Anthroposophic principles have historically influenced Weleda's approach to plant selection, cultivation, manufacturing and the relationship between people and the natural environment.
In anthroposophic medicine, products may be selected to support the body's regulatory processes. The appropriate use of a medicinal product must still follow its authorised product information and professional advice where required.
No. Customers may choose Weleda cosmetic products based on their ingredients, skin type, intended use and personal preferences. No philosophical or spiritual commitment is required.
Responsible use and important customer safety information.
Anthroposophic medicines form part of a complementary medical system and may contain preparations derived from plants, minerals or other substances.
Their intended use, legal classification, directions, warnings and evidence basis depend on the individual medicinal product. Customers must read the label and accompanying information before use.
The legal status and regulatory route can differ between medicinal products. Some complementary medicines may rely partly on established or traditional use rather than the same type or extent of clinical evidence required for a newly developed conventional medicine.
Customers should rely on the authorised label, patient information and directions supplied with the specific medicine.
No medicinal product purchased from this website should be used to discontinue, delay or replace prescribed treatment without advice from the prescriber or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Do not stop taking a prescribed medicine because of information found on a retail website.
Speak to a doctor, pharmacist or appropriately qualified healthcare professional before use when:
Follow the instructions supplied with the medicine. Seek appropriate healthcare advice if symptoms persist, worsen, recur frequently or are accompanied by new or concerning symptoms.
Seek urgent medical attention for severe symptoms, breathing difficulty, a serious allergic reaction or any situation requiring immediate assessment.
No. Anthroposophic medicinal products sold through the Brooled Weleda Shop are supplied to eligible UK delivery addresses only.
Medicines cannot be added to an international shipment. Non-medicinal skincare, body care and personal-care items may be available for worldwide delivery, subject to local customs, carrier and destination restrictions.
Guidance for popular skincare and body-care products.
Weleda Skin Food Original is a rich moisturising cosmetic product intended for dry, rough or stressed skin. It is commonly applied to areas such as the hands, elbows, knees, feet and other areas requiring intensive moisturisation.
It should be applied according to the product directions. Avoid contact with the eyes and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Skin Food Original has a richer, more intensive texture and is generally selected for very dry areas or where a heavier moisturising layer is preferred.
Skin Food Light has a lighter texture and is designed to absorb more readily. It may be preferred for larger areas, daytime use or customers who do not want the richer finish of the Original formula.
Suitability depends on the individual product and the customer's sensitivities. Natural ingredients, plant extracts and essential oils can still cause irritation or allergic reactions in some individuals.
Review the complete ingredients list and consider a patch test before broader use. Stop using the product if redness, swelling, persistent itching or irritation develops.
Many cosmetic products may be suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, but suitability must be assessed product by product. Check ingredients, warnings and directions, especially where a formula contains essential oils or is intended for a specialised purpose.
Obtain advice from a midwife, pharmacist, doctor or other qualified professional where there is uncertainty.
Weleda offers baby-care products specifically formulated for delicate infant skin, including products within the Calendula Baby range.
Use only age-appropriate products and follow the packaging instructions. Avoid applying cosmetic products to broken, infected or significantly inflamed skin unless advised by a healthcare professional.
Cosmetic Arnica products, such as massage oils or bath products, are generally intended for topical body care, massage and use around physical activity.
A cosmetic Arnica product is not automatically equivalent to a medicinal Arnica product. Always check whether the specific item is classified as a cosmetic or medicine and follow the corresponding directions.
Consider your skin type, sensitivity, preferred texture and primary cosmetic objective. For example, different products may be selected for dry skin, combination skin, sensitive skin, hydration or mature skin.
Brooled can provide product-selection guidance as an authorised Weleda Wellbeing Advisor. This guidance does not diagnose skin disease. Persistent acne, eczema, dermatitis, infection or unexplained skin changes should be assessed by an appropriate healthcare professional.

Eligibility, monthly periods and customer refund information.
The Brooled Monthly Loyalty Draw is a customer promotion through which one eligible qualifying customer is selected for a refund of their eligible purchases made during the relevant calendar month.
Eligibility remains subject to the programme rules, verification of the customer's orders and any full terms published by Brooled.
Each draw period begins at 00:00 on the first day of the calendar month and closes at 23:59 on the final day of that calendar month.
Orders placed outside the applicable monthly period are not included in that month's calculation.
A customer must spend at least £25 in total on eligible purchases during the relevant calendar month.
The £25 threshold may be reached through one qualifying order or through multiple qualifying orders placed during the same monthly draw period.
One eligible qualifying customer is selected for each completed monthly draw period.
No. The promotion permits only one qualifying participant per household or postal address during each monthly draw period.
Where multiple customer accounts or names are associated with the same household or delivery address, Brooled may consolidate or exclude duplicate entries to enforce this requirement.
The selected customer may receive a refund for eligible, completed purchases made during the relevant monthly draw period, subject to order verification and the programme terms.
Delivery charges, customs charges, cancelled orders, returned products, refunded items, unpaid orders, fraudulent transactions and other excluded amounts may be omitted from the refund calculation.
Cancelled, unpaid, fraudulent, fully refunded or returned orders are not normally treated as qualifying purchases. Partially refunded orders may be recalculated using the remaining eligible purchase value.
The selected customer is chosen from verified eligible participants using a random selection process after the monthly draw period has closed.
No. The Monthly Loyalty Draw is a Brooled customer promotion. It is not operated, administered or sponsored directly by Weleda.
